Baroque + Spoken Word + Hip-Hop Dance

Dissolve: (Verb) - to cause to disperse or disappear, to fade away
(Noun) - a gradual superimposing of one motion-picture or television shot upon another on a screen

Bold, experimental music from the 17th century collides with Spoken Word and Hip Hop Dance in an original blended performance that bends genres... tapping into the power of art "in the moment" and the nature of memory and hope.

Acclaimed spoken word artist Assetou Xango joins violinist Cynthia Miller Freivogel and six BCOC musicians, plus three dancers from the Lionheart Dance Crew. Original improvisations, plus music of Castello, Biber, Bach, Marini and Buxtehude.

Join us for this ground-breaking collaboration, and an invitation after the program to mix with artists and audience in a continuing conversation.
