DANIELA GUZMÁN-ÉGÜEZ

Daniela Guzmán-Égüez teaches Applied Voice at Regis University. She is a soprano from Quito, Ecuador and has performed solo roles in local companies, as well as around South America. Most recent engagements include the lead roles of Countess in the Marriage of Figaro, the title role of Suor Angelica and Giorgetta in Puccini´s Il Trittico. Future engagements include a reprise of Countess at the National Theater in Quito, Musetta in La Boheme and the Princess in the children’s opera Puss in boots with Boulder Opera. Daniela performs regularly with local opera companies as well as companies in her home country. As passionate as she is for opera, Daniela is also into research and performance of Spanish and Latin American music. Daniela is a Touring Artist for Central City Opera, an Artist in Residence with Boulder Opera and a member of the Opera Colorado Chorus. Daniela is an alumna from the Teatro Nacional Sucre´s Young Artist Program. She holds a Master in Music from Texas Christian University and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Denver where she is currently an Artist Diploma Candidate.
